Entry requirements and application materials

The family includes a three-year BSc (Hons) and a one-year CertHE. STEM preparation is preferred, and current subject-level requirements—especially mathematics—must be checked rather than inferred from a general music application. The existing admissions guidance also warns that the music Foundation Year should not be assumed to progress into this BSc; verify the current route individually.

The published standard degree-entry benchmark is 112 UCAS points, A Levels BBC or BTEC DMM, plus GCSE English at 4/C. Other routes can be accepted, so GUGA checks the equivalency of your education separately.

Technical readiness: the BSc calls for more than an interest in music: be ready to evidence comfort with logic, code and digital audio.

English-language benchmark

Combine one or two small, functioning audio projects with musical evidence. Planning the full study budget

Published tuition is only one part of the budget. Accommodation, travel, equipment, software, immigration and personal costs can be separate.
